Q cover

On the cover of Q, the main story that is promoted on the cover is the Take That interview. it is said to be a world exclusive, which shows how exclusive it is. There are other stories on the cover, but none have pictures. there is a bold headline on the side for Green Day, a golden sticker looking circle to promote the Q awards, and listing various bands at the bottom of the page.
The cover for Q is much more plain and simple compared to Kerrang. it is a plain white background, the Q in the top left corner, the picture of Take That, and the rest is writing. the only colours on the cover are black, red, gold and white.

The language used tries to promote the quality of the magazine. Everything that is said leads on to continuing reading on inside, like "Word Exclusive" and "Back for good?". the quality of the content is shown to be high, and sticking a gold 'sticker' on it makes it look like its won an award.
The plain white background and red writing makes it similar to NME magazine, but Q shows more quality on the cover. Kerrang is more 'in your face' whereas Q is more about you reading for yourself.
